Afterschool Program:
On arrival, students are separated by their assessed performance level and placed in small groups. Each student is assigned to one teacher who will serve as their tutor. During the afterschool program, students receive homework help and guidance. Students will also receive a custom designed subject based binder for continued learning. This binder is made independently for eac
h student depending on their academic assessment, and includes reading, grammar, math, and science. Additionally, at the end of each month, students who complete all their homework can participate in the monthly field trip to one of the local museums. English and Math Tutoring:
English and math courses will help students prepare and excel all levels of English comprehension as well as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Our tutoring sessions are designed to assist those who have fallen behind or prepare for upcoming tests. Book Club:
Our book club will consist of reading a selection of books in each student's comprehensive level. Each session will include reading a passage, a chapter, and a whole book as a class and questions will be asked by the instructor to guide each students thought process to effectively understand the main idea of the story. Discussion is designed to cover science, math, and social science in the story so that students will practice to incorporate and connect different aspects of the learning. Speech and writing is a big part of our book club and will be emphasized to each student to prepare and share in class. Fun Art (18 Months - 3 Years):
Through four weeks of lesson, children will learn how to create an art craft using various materials and shapes. The children will be using wood, paper, clay, paints, fabrics, food and more. By using these materials and shapes they will create masks, decorations, paintings, toys, and ornaments. Lego Learning:
Pre-School: Basic construction and simple technology sets, Lego Education's preschool portfolio covers popular themes such as Animals, Transportation, and Home & Family. Lower Primary (4-7): Wide Variety of resources for core subjects and cross-curricular programs in science, Information and Control Technology (ICT), math, language, and humanities are covered in this level. Upper Primary (7-11): Create a stimulating hand-on learning experience while meeting primary learning objectives, with hands-on activities for science, Information and Control Technology (ICT), design & technology, English, math, and humanities subjects. Secondary (11-18): This stage allows young scientists, designers and engineers to explore their creativity and to work hands-on to grasp Information and Control Technology (ICT), science, math, engineering, design & technoloy though practical experience and demonstration. Gabe & Orda:
Through hands on learning, students practice using both the right and left sides of their brain. Gabe and ORda instructions includes lessons on shapes, balance, using numbers, angles, hand - eye coordination, observational skills, and geometry. Art Therapy:
Art Therapy uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. The creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight.
