A recent commenter on LinkedIn said, "Caregiving is one of the most under-recognized forms of leadership in our society. It demands judgment, coordination, and the type of emotional steadiness that rarely gets celebrated...Caregivers carry extraordinary responsibility. They deserve support systems that carry some of that with them."

We couldn't have said it better!

CCA is committed to training caregivers and providing support as they develop professional skills. We partner with L.A. Care Health Plan, SEIU Local 2015, CA Public Authorities & other organizations to create free, accessible caregiver training programs for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) workers & nursing facility workers. These programs give caregivers the tools & resources they need to improve their jobs & provide quality care to the older adults and people with disabilities they serve across California.

Every May, Older Americans Month celebrates older adults and reaffirms our commitment to serving them.

At CCA, we work with partners to develop training programs for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) caregivers and the older adults they support. Some of our programs offer side-by-side training for both caregivers and care recipients to improve home care safety & foster independence and proactive engagement in personal health.

We develop evidence-based training based on feedback from our graduates & the data we gather via research.

This week CCA honors staff in skilled nursing care facilities. 🌟

We recognize the hundreds of nursing home workers who have taken advantage of their SEIU Local 2015 union benefits and the Education Fund to complete our training programs & advance their careers. They apply their skills as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) & SNF support staff to provide high-quality, long-term & post-acute care to millions of nursing home residents each year.
