Twenty Fourth Street Elementary School

Good afternoon 24t Street Community,
Today there was a fire in the yard at the fence adjacent to the freeway offramp. All of our students and staff went indoors while the fire department extinguished the fire. All the students and school personnel are safe. The fire has been extinguished and everything is under control. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the school. Thank you.

Hoy hubo un incendio en la cerca del patio adyacente a la salida de la autopista. Todos nuestros estudiantes y personal entraron al interior mientras el departamento de bomberos extinguió el fuego. Todo el personal de la escuela está a salvo. El fuego se ha extinguido y todo está bajo control. Si tiene alguna pregunta, no dude en ponerse en contacto con la escuela. Gracias.

A big shout out goes to the some of the staff members of 24th Street Elementary School. The District received a wonderful note from Mrs. Quinonez, a parent whose daughter, Estrella Quinonez, attends the school. She wrote about how her teacher last year, Anisha Merchant did a very good job with Estrella and is highly professional, well prepared and has a great personality. She would also mention First Grade Teacher Ruth Hernandez, Targeted Student Population Advisor Roman Gutierrez, Assistant Principal Nieves Rascon, and School Administrative Assistant Grace Barrera who at the school. “These people do great work with dignity, love and respect while meeting the student needs,” said Mrs. Quinonez.
