Rena Panush Beginners to Pros Voice Lessons I help vocalists of all levels develop their voices for any style of singing. Ms. She has been teaching for many years, from beginners to professional singers.

I performed mainly opera, but feel comfortable giving students a good foundation for any style or repertoire. Panush has a BA from the University of Michigan, an MFA in vocal performance from University of Florida, and performed many full opera roles staged with orchestra (Lucia, Norma, Rosina, Micaela, Rosalinda, Fiordiligi, Despina, Marcellina, Contessa and Susanna). Panush is a long-time member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and has attended many workshops and seminars devoted to vocal pedagogy. Panush is available to present a custom program upon request. Contact us to learn more and schedule a concert. I firmly believe that anyone can learn to sing. Anyone can learn to sing if they have the time and patience. i have even taught so called tone-deaf folks. It is, of course, better if you have had a bit of music in your background. Anything that has taught you how to read and listen to music. Typically, we start with two 30-minute lessons per week as we learn the basics. Then we move into one 60 minute lesson per week where we work on both technique and repertoire. I teach the basics of voice use. The student learns how to breathe and how to listen to and feel their voice. They learn to analyze what they are doing and how to adjust. Then, we apply the basic techniques to whatever style of singing they want to do. But voice training is a very slow and deliberate process; maturity and patience are pretty important. Minimum requirement: 11 yrs old and up. If you are the parent of a singer, I strongly recommend piano lessons for several years to develop basic musical literacy and ear training.
