Happy World Doula Week 🫶🏿

Becoming a doula has been one of the greatest honors and joys of my life. Supporting families as they prepare for parenthood is something I hold deeply in my heart. With every birth, every conversation, and every moment of trust, my mission grows stronger—especially in advocating for Black families to experience safer, more empowered birthing outcomes.

This work has opened my eyes to the gaps in healthcare—where patient-centered care and emotional intelligence are often missing. I remain hopeful for change, but until then… we continue on.

As your doula, I vow to:
✨ Give you my undivided attention
✨ Help you prepare for birth and life after baby
✨ Provide evidence-based education and resources
✨ Seek out answers and support from my community when needed

You deserve to feel seen, heard, informed, and supported every step of the way.

To all the doulas out there—I see you. Your presence, your care, your energy… it matters. Keep being the light. Keep grounding families. And please, don’t forget to care for yourselves too 🤎

Strength, softness, and trust.

This Women’s History Month, I’m thinking about all the ways women hold each other up—through friendship, through care, through community, through birth. Just like this bear-hug backbend, sometimes the deepest openings happen when someone has your back.

Grateful for the women who support me, challenge me, and remind me to keep bending without breaking. Here’s to the lineage of women before us, beside us, and the ones we’re still becoming. 🤍

Disconnecting from the chaos for a moment to refill my cup.

When I’m not advocating for reproductive rights, you’ll probably find me underwater—scuba diving, breathing slower, and remembering how small and beautiful this world really is.

Grateful for the wonderful people I met along the way and the reminder to slow tf down and actually enjoy this life. As far as I know… I only get one.

This month on this page, we’re honoring Black history through movement, mental health, and community care. 🤎✨

Mental health in Black women matters because we carry so much—our families, our communities, our histories, our dreams—and too often we’re expected to do it without rest, without support, and without space to fall apart and be held. Creating spaces where Black women can breathe, move, and be cared for isn’t extra—it’s necessary.

That’s why donation-based, community care is radical. It says access over profit. It says healing shouldn’t be a luxury. It says we take care of each other, right now, with what we have. This is what collective care looks like in action. 🖤✨

I’ll be hosting TWO donation-based classes on 02/09 and 02/12, where all proceeds will be given to the California Black Women’s Health Project. I’m honored to use my voice to support my community. I look forward to seeing you on the mat—and if you can’t attend, please consider donating and sharing the love.

Belly binding is more than a wrap—it’s a moment of connection 🤍
It supports postpartum healing, brings comfort and stability to the core, and creates space to slow down and reconnect with your body after birth.
Gentle support, deep breaths, and intentional care—because your body deserves to be held too. ✨

✨ Gentle Reminder ✨

Birth is not one-size-fits-all — it’s sacred, powerful, and yours. Whether you birth at home, in a hospital, through a cesarean, or surrounded by nature, my role as your doula is to ensure you feel seen, respected, and heard every step of the way. 🌿

My hope is that you walk away from your birth experience feeling empowered, informed, and supported — because every birth story deserves reverence. 💛

Yoga’s history is deeply tied to ancient India, where it was primarily a male-dominated spiritual practice. In its earliest form, yoga wasn’t about physical poses—it was about discipline, meditation, and spiritual connection. Over centuries, yoga evolved into different schools and lineages, each with their own focus and philosophy.

Fast forward to today, modern Western yoga looks very different. It’s often centered around asana—the physical postures—while the philosophical and spiritual roots aren’t always emphasized. This shift has made yoga more accessible worldwide, but it’s also why it’s so important to understand its history.

When we know where yoga comes from, we can appreciate how much it has evolved while still honoring its roots. Practicing with that awareness helps us move beyond just exercise and connect more deeply with the tradition, the culture, and the intention behind it.
