Our hearts are with the student’s family, friends, educators, and the entire Franklin High School community following this week’s heartbreaking loss.
We also know our scholars are seeing and talking about what happened. Moments like this remind us just how important it is that every young person feels safe, known, heard, and supported at school.
To our Boxer families: Your children's physical and emotional safety remains our highest responsibility. Our scholars have caring adults, counselors and mental health professionals, clear ways to report concerns, and a team committed to responding when they need us.
Please check in with your scholar this weekend and remind them of two things we want every young person at Neuwirth to know:
You never have to carry something difficult alone. Tell an adult. We will listen. We will help.
And when you see someone who may be unsafe, in distress, or unable to get help for themselves, don't just watch and don't assume someone else will step in. Get an adult immediately. Looking out for one another means knowing when it's time to act and get help.
On Monday, our team will be here and ready to welcome, support, and care for our scholars. 🖤 💛
