Morning relaxation in our swing area, redesigned by an incredible LAFS parent! We now have a music and tactile station for the kids to explore, and toadstool tables and chairs in addition to our swings. The Treehouse and Rainforest classrooms especially look forward to the time they get to spend here in the lower yard!

The Hill classroom sits high up above the upper yard. Our three-to-four-year-olds are so proud when they get to climb the rainbow steps up to their classroom every day, like the big kids they are!

Hot days call for diaper babies!

We are in week 3 of our toddler program in Treehouse, and everyone is settling in nicely. LAFS has opened its doors to kids as young as 18 months, and the toddlers are thriving! They’re getting so much time with new friends, figuring out social dynamics and already coming home chatting about their classmates. Every day is different, but this week they’ve been experimenting with sensory play, learning to sit down while they eat, feeding the bunnies, guinea pigs, and turtles, and splashing at the water table to cool down. Busy days full of play, naps, and snacks!

Congratulations to all of our kids on their graduations! Riverbed partied with their own disco, Hill celebrated with rainbows, Rainforest floated on hot air balloons, and Treehouse moved up with a purple theme. We’re incredibly proud of all of our students who have learned and grown so much this year. Whether they’re returning for another year of fun, friends, and sand next year, or moving on to TK or Kindergarten, we can’t wait to see them again and watch what they’ll do next!

LAFS will be closed for three weeks for summer break, but we’ll see you back here in August!
