Sigma Pi is UCLA's oldest social fraternity. Established February 24th, 1923. We stand for brotherhood, leadership, scholarship and chivalry.

The 58th Biennium Convocation in Orlando marked one of the most distinguished chapters in Upsilon’s history.

UCLA Sigma Pi was honored with four national chapter awards: Grand Chapter, Most Improved Chapter, Top Alumni Association, and the Louis Foley Alumni Newsletter Award.

We also celebrate our brothers recognized on the national stage:
Michael Gallagher — Michael P. Carey Award
Tommy Rudowicz — Guy “Red” Mackey Outstanding Sportsmanship Award
Richard Barretto — Dr. Robert L. Burns Faculty Advisor Award

And a distinct point of pride: Brad Reichard, elected to the Sigma Pi Grand Council as the second-highest vote-getter nationwide, now serving as Grand Herald.

These honors are the product of years of dedication from our undergraduates, our advisors, and the alumni who continue to invest in this chapter. Every generation inherits the responsibility to leave Upsilon stronger than they found it.

We are excited to share the final results from last week’s Greek Life Blood Drive in honor of passed Sigma Pi brother Garni Arakelian. The blood and platelet center was able to collect 52 whole blood donations and 2 platelet donations! Not only did we smash our original goal of 35 donations, but we also doubled the number of donations we received last year. This is a phenomenal achievement, and it would not have been possible without the help of the UCLA blood and platelet center and every single one of you who personally donated.

Every donation directly supports the UCLA Health hospital system and its patients, providing a lifeline to individuals just like Garni who rely on these critical resources. Sigma Pi and the rest of the UCLA Health community, cannot thank you all enough for your generous donations.

A huge thank you to Sigma Pi UCLA alumnus and 2x Emmy Award-winning FOX Sports producer and manager Spencer Sacks for visiting the chapter and sharing his story with the brotherhood.

From his time as a student at UCLA and in the Sigma Pi house to building an accomplished career in sports broadcasting, Spencer spoke about the experiences, relationships, and opportunities that helped shape his path. He also reflected on his leadership within the chapter, including philanthropy initiatives like Beach Cleanup and Sorority Super Bowl, and how those experiences carried beyond college.

We’re grateful for the chance to learn from a fellow brother whose journey continues to represent the lasting impact of Sigma Pi both at UCLA and beyond.

Huge thank you to all the Sigma Pi alumni who came out to our Alumni Poker Night ♠️♥️♣️♦️

It was awesome getting everyone back in the house! Full tables, great conversations, and a lot of laughs all night. Events like this are a reminder of how strong the brotherhood runs across generations.
