Dear actors,

“When the world asks about your backup plan, please remember this: Your backup plan is acting. Stay the course. Believe in yourself.“~ Mario A. Campanaro

MC² Actors Studio Masterclass

“Watching acting is not acting. Scrolling through endless reels about acting is not acting. Collecting ‘acting tips’ is not acting. Reading about acting is not acting. You learn how to act by acting, by getting on your feet, taking risks, failing, rehearsing, struggling, discovering, receiving constructive instruction and critique, and cultivating your craft through disciplined practice. Then you do it again. And again. And again. Hold yourself to the same standard as the actors you admire who have truly dedicated themselves to the work, and give yourself the respect of pursuing the highest level of artistic excellence. Craft is not built through consumption. It is built through doing.” ~ .A.Campanaro

“There’s no difference between move acting and stage acting…no matter what they tell you…None at all…It’s the same thing…Never believe it…The difference is whether the camera likes you or not.” ~

“Dear actors,
remember this:
“Be like water and fill every vessel the story asks of you to pour your soul into. Once you fully inhabit that vessel with your individual life force, trust yourself wholeheartedly to respond truthfully and authentically to the circumstances through the lens of the character.”~ Mario A. Campanaro

“When the actor is able to touch upon the heart-strings of the public’s humanity, private essence, and deep-rooted vulnerability…time and space stops…recognition ignites…and a beautiful communion initiates.” ~ Mario A. Campanaro

Dear actors,
Remember this:

“Do not let rejection fool you into believing that there is something wrong with you or that you are pursuing the wrong path. Do not consent to the rejection by joining in on it. Support and trust yourself. Listen to the unrelenting ally within, not the saboteur. Rejection can be protection. What looks like the right opportunity may actually lead you into a cul de sac. Sometimes rejection is simply the detour you need, leading you away from what cannot take you any further and toward something that allows for more. These moments are not destructive potholes in your path. They are useful redirections guiding you toward your intended destination.” ~ .A.Campanaro

CHARACTER MASK CLASS:

“Within every adult lives a child’s history that formulated the ‘how’ and ‘why’ filtered way of living in the here and now. Everyone has a story. Everyone has struggled. Everyone has suffered. Everyone has had trials and tribulations. Everyone has a history. At our very core, we function from survival, love received, and love unreceived. From there, our story unfolds based on what life throws at us. This isn’t just about technique…It’s about humanity.“
~ Mario A. Campanaro

“Dear actors, Remember this: There may be low points. But that does not mean it’s the end point. Keep going. The next moment could change everything.” Mario A. Campanaro
