Saturday November 5 Dia de Los Mu***os Family Event at 525 Wheeling Way LA., 90042 Baby College and Immigration Awareness.

4:30. Adults make bottle cap earrings and paint memory boxes at Art Show. Children's activities watercolor plaster butterflies, paper flowers, spinner art.
5:00 Children's Story: Grandma tricks Senor Calavera to wait in "Just a Minute."

I've been working on this memory piece for my younger brother who died of Covid-19 one year ago. I am preparing for our Art Show and Day of Dead Activities for this Saturday 4:30-7:30 across the street from Baby College.
If your family tradition is prepare Ofrendas for the Day of the Dead, or you would like to share a photograph of a lost loved one, send it to us through notifications and we will post the photo to share with other Baby College families.

Saturday we are asking our families to drop off any pieces of their art or their children's art they would like to share. Here is photographs immigrant Jerome Corpus Filipino. He is part of our Immigrant Awareness culture event Dia de Los Mu***os/Day of the Dead.

We also are opening the art lab for you to create memory boxes and bottle cap jewelry for our Dia de Los Mu***os Event Saturday November 5 4:30-7:30 at 525 Wheeling Way (parking lot across the street from Baby College).

Teacher Vinessa uses Shrinky D***s to make a miniature potato chip bag for a memory box of her aunt. Julia and Diego( 5 years old) visit the lab Saturday and begin their memory boxes.
The art lab at Hermon is open Monday through Saturday 9:30-1:00. Everyone is welcome. Just walk in.

Baby College Workshops are making memory boxes for Dia de Los Mu***os Art Show and Family Activities to be held Saturday November 5.
Everyone is invited to participate in workshops beginning Saturday Oct. 22 9:30 to 1:00. Bring a photo of someone from your family or friends that you would like to remember.
We will have workshops all next week Oct. 24-29 Monday through Saturday 9:30-1:00.

We invite all our families to come work in our daily workshops in preparation for Day of the Dead Art Show. We are open Saturday October 22 9:30-1:00 at the new art Lab across the street from Baby College. We will open the lab next week Monday through Friday 9:30- to 1:00. Come any time.

We invite all of Baby College families to contribute to our Art Show to be held November 5 at our Dia de Los Mu***os Family Event. Baby College teachers are working on a calavera for our Remembering Indigenous Women installation at the Art Show. If you would like to contribute to this or to our Baby College ofrenda remembering our families, please bring the pieces Saturday October 29 to the David Building across the street from Baby College 10:00-2:00. Baby College is sharing our families stories of immigration and coming to a new culture. Maria Rivas tells her story of coming to California. She never wanted to leave her pueblo in Mexico, but she followed her husband bringing her two young daughters with her. She was determined to keep her family together.
Next interviews Monday 10:00 to 1:00 at the David Building (across the street from Baby College). Tell your family story. Professor Gaile, Professor Linda , and Lead Teacher Faby Avila will facilitate the interviews.
Last interviews scheduled for Saturday Oct. 8 10:00-2:00. We have art activities for your children as you complete your interview. Message us if you haven't signed up already.

Teacher Faby prepares Calaveras for Dia de Los Mu***os to be held Saturday November 5 from 4:00-7:30.
We are getting ready for our annual family event and Immigration Awareness Art Show at the Baby College Parking Lot (behind buildings 5808 Monterey Rd)
This week we are asking Baby College Families to come and tell us their family story of immigration. We are taping the interviews to show the night of the Art Show. We have openings Monday October 3 at 10:00 and Saturday October 8 11:00 and 12:00. Please come and tell your story. Prof. Linda and Prof. Gaile
