GET TO KNOW: UCLA SWC EARTH

EARTH is an environmentally focused committee within SWC that aims to make a real impact on campus.

"Last year, we successfully applied to The Green Initiative Fund from UCLA Sustainability to install water saving faucet nozzles in Ackerman and Kerckhoff restrooms. We have also hosted and participated in many on-campus events such as, coastolong, alcohol-awareness week, sustainaval, beach clean-ups. Besides the projects and events we do, our committee is consisted of a diverse group of people from different majors and years, but we are bonded by our passion for the environment and EARTH!"

The California Community College Board of Governors has passed a resolution to encourage all 114 community colleges to adopt a 100% smoke/to***co-free policy!!!! Huge congrats to our Campuses Organized & United for Good Health - COUGH student partners and College Program team. This is a great day for our public colleges and universities in California! ***coFree
