Inspired by their Greek-letter friends at nearby Hampden-Sydney College, our eight Founders first cemented their ties of friendship while at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University). A year later, surrounded by candlelight and purple violets picked from the nearby woods, Sigma Sigma Sigma held its first initiation on April 20, 1898. Happy 128th Founders Day!

💜Celebrated our 128th Founders Day and 100 years of Tri Sigma in Los Angeles! A wonderful day filled with Sisterhood, great food and amazing weather. We couldn’t help but think about how much has been accomplished by both Los Angeles Alumnae and Delta Xi Collegiates over the last 100 years. Many thanks to every Sister who has gone before us for leaving such an inspiring legacy. Cheers to all the present and future Los Angeles Tri Sigmas for honoring these memories and continuing to make new ones! 💜
