Stacey Inal Inspiring Women
I am a women's confidence coach & a licensed psychotherapist in California and Florida.
ChatGPT or any AI will never replace a psychotherapist trained in the realm of mental health, psychological interventions and theories, nor will it be able to intuitively pick up on your body signals of when to slow down with the information. It is a great tool to process and question yourself but it won’t heal trauma.
3000 clinical supervised hours prior to being licensed is no joke! In addition, most of us have gone me in to deeper level trainings to provide custom individualized to our clients needs. There is no generic work happening with a good therapist.
On top of it, we have to learn and are tested on legal and ethical laws around our clients to ensure we provide top notch care.
What is the funniest thing you have used AI for? I had to recently diagnose our neighborhood pet squirrel with a soft tissue injury!
That morning I had a million things I had to do before my first client session. My head was swirling and my anxiousness was high. I was in shock as I wheeled out our garbage bins and saw someone jump out from the bushes. My daughter’s classmate was wearing swim floaters on her arms, had her hair in pigtails, and a colorful sweatshirt. When she jumped out we both froze and did not say a word.
I was confused. She was embarrassed. We ended up laughing. She made me swear I wouldn’t tell my daughter and since this was a competition, I kept my mouth shut.
It was such a sweet wholesome moment and it reminded me to stop and smell the roses.
When I was little I jumped into the deep end of the pool. I don't know what made me do it. I remember being under water fighting to break the surface to get air. The teenage kids around me watched but didn't do anything. I still remember some adults walking by but they were busy in their conversation. A layer of water was above me.
Our family member dove into the pool fully clothed and rescued me. She asked me why I did that and I replied, “I wanted to see what it would feel like to be in the deep end.” she was beaffled and very upset. She was kind but not happy with me. I felt many emotions in that moment.
That visceral fear has always stayed with me until today. I worked on different techniques to hel me swim better and to allow myself to feel the anxiety. It wasn't easy but it was healing.
Have you ever done something like this? You knew it didn't make sense but you did it anyway?

Have you ever thought you were sick, having a heart attack, or dying and discovered it was anxiety coursing through your body?
Mental health issues are one of the top 5 reasons among people in their 30’s and 40’s to be seen at the ER in the US.
There is no shame in feeling these things - we are prewired for emotional states of being. Sometimes our bodies get flooded and don’t know how to regulate. In these cases, often simple strategies can help redirect the Amygdala to get out of fight/flight/freeze mode!

Oh this Coach Suki! She tells it like it is! She is in a mood today!
She wants me to remind everyone: Boundaries are the foundation to keeping unnecessary energy out of your world. If it feels like a no then say “NO”!!! Quit saying yes when you want to say no. Stop following the crowd of people pleasers!
What do you think? Do we need more men proactively speaking up for women and supporting world class athletes and female dominated genres?
Here is another 60 second somatic body exercise to help you get grounded. Perhaps you feel disconnected, numb, or not present in your body. The Creature exercise is a great somatic tool to help you do that!
Imagine you are a tree deeply rooted into the earth with strong branches holding up the sky.
Are you looking for a quick way to get rid of negative feelings or emotions! Body sweeping is a great tool which incapsalates both body and mind to relieve yourself of tension, body pain, or dysregulated emotions that are negatively impacting you.
This can be done in a bathroom stall, an office closet, outside your car, inside your car or wherever you have a bit of privacy. Remember to keep breathing while sweeping. Also, always keep your eyes open during this practice to keep you grounded so you don’t get overwhelmed. A window can be real or imaginary. If no window picture a door, a wave, a bird or anything else that helps you visualize that end release happening!
Last year I was taking a Qi Gong class and I found my brain and my body fighting one another. I was tired and I kept forgetting the forms and movements which meant my legs and arms had to move together in one motion.
I began to criticize myself and realized how often I did that. Too big, too soft, not strong enough. It dawned on me that I was fighting with my body.
How often do we do that? Now I’m working towards loving my body - my imperfections, my cellulite, my soft tummy.
And guess what?! It is working! I’m continuing to slowly lose weight. I’m feeling stronger. My confidence continues to grow.
I’m going to challenge you to see where you are fighting with your body. What do you focus on when you look in a mirror? What if you offered that area of your body the love and compassion you give others? 💗
