Kappa Delta Chi at Mount St. Mary's College was established in November of 1929.

We are the longest standing sorority at the Mount, and our sisterhood has remained strong throughout the years.

Congratulations to our President Miss Cindy De Leon for being named one of the "Latina Future History Makers" here at Mount Saint Mary's University at its recent Latina History Day! You go sister!

Congratulations to two of our Athenians who were named "Latina Future History Makers" at the recent Latina History Day event presented by Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE)!

Cindy De Leon-Torres '15 (at left) is completing her bachelor's degree in Sociology and Gerontology at the Mount, while Susy Contreras '15 will graduate this May with a degree in Healthcare Policy.

Cindy is a peer mentor on campus and a senior senator. She was honored for leadership, and for her career goals that include earning a master's degree in Social Work, and helping underserved students excel in their own educational and professional careers.

Susy serves with the East Los Angeles Women Center, and is focused on issues related to domestic violence and healthcare access. She was honored for her community involvement, and her career aspirations to run for California State Senate so that she can influence policies that will help low-income communities.

Congrats to both! Thank you for being leaders!
