From discovering civil engineering at a young age to finding community and confidence at USC, Zenzi’s story shows just how many directions an engineering education can lead. She shares lessons from her professors, classmates, and campus involvement, her decision to pursue a PhD at MIT, and her unexpected transition into designing ships, barges, and floating structures, including an ice-strengthened barge for McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
