Our electrical team's been hard at work on our car. This week they've been working on soldering a new solar panel. Afterwards, we will be encapsulating the cells in plastic for durability and protection once they are placed in the car. Solid progress being made!

Hi everyone! As we’re waiting on news for whether we can return to the workshop, Yifan Xue and the rest of the mechanical team has been hard at work using SolidWorks to perfect the design on our first car. So far, our chassis has been built and our roll cage has been designed with both parts excelling in simulations. We’re well on our way toward the construction of our first car!

The Mechanical Subteam has been very busy developing the blueprints for the car! Recently, the Subteam has used their drawings to develop a 3D design using Solidworks for the attachment points between the bottom shell and the chassis of the car.

The Electrical Subteam has finished developing the wiring diagram used for the battery’s temperature sensors in the car! It’s good to have graphic design experience when planning wiring! •
