How Long Is an Actress Onscreen? A New Tool Finds the Answer Faster. Software developed for the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media could analyze a 90-minute film in 15 minutes, an engineer said.

Last week was the kickoff event for a 5 year, $11.25 million MURI grant to develop brain-machine interfaces to enhance human decision making. The project is led by USC Ming Hsieh Dept. of Electrical Engineering's own Dr. Maryam Shanechi.
