Anti Silicone Injections Club

This patient is in her mid 30's. She's 5'4 and 190 lbs. In June of 2021, she came to Dr. Katzen for silicone injections removal (silicone injected in 2011). She healed nicely and came in for buttock reconstruction with her own fat, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). After healing from silicone injections removal, she was left with indentations where the incisions were. Dr. Katzen filled these dents with fat and gave her a nice, round buttock. This patient is happier and healthier with her silicone-free buttock.

This 35-year-old female patient previously had silicone injected into their buttocks and lips about 15 years ago. The patient experienced localized pain, radiating pain down the leg, problems with sitting, and discomfort in the buttocks due to the silicone injections. The silicone had also migrated down to the patient’s right thigh. So, Dr. Katzen performed ultrasound guided VASER silicone suction to remove the silicone that had been injected into the buttocks. Today I removed silicone injections from a patient who traveled from Nashville, TN. She is 49 years old and received 4 sessions of silicone injections 17 years ago. The silicone was injected into the muscle and migrated from the buttocks to her tibia. She had been feeling a lot of pain in her buttocks and her tibia. This procedure took approximately 5 hours and we were able to remove a majority of silicone.
