LATTC Chemical Technology student, Fritzi Velasquez is LACCD's ✨Student of the Week✨! Whether she's analyzing the compounds of an Excedrine migraine tablet, testing lab techniques, or exploring careers in the field of Chemical Technology, Fritzi's passion for science grew and took shape with the help of her instructors and classmates at Trade-Tech.

Her next stop is CSU Long Beach, where she'll pursue her bachelor's degree in Chemistry this Fall.

This year, Puente celebrated 25 years at LATTC, marking a milestone achievement in supporting students to build skills for success in both academic and career goals. This year’s cohort had 27 students who are now bound for colleges including UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, and UC Davis.

Here’s to another 25 years—and beyond!—of successful Puentistas. 🎓✨
