Happy Thanksgiving week! The Global Development Lab at UCLA is currently fundraising through SPARK to raise support for our student-created social impact campaigns.
We rely entirely on existing funding so your generous gifts are essential for turning these projects into reality and creating meaningful impacts in communities that need them the most.
Past projects have included providing reproductive health education to lower-income teens in the LA area, medical care to farm workers in the Central Valley, and internet access to a hospital in Uganda.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Global Development Lab’s Social Impact hack! It will take place from October 9th-18th, and during this time participants will have the opportunity to team up with other students to design a proposal for a social enterprise for a social impact driven organization: Community Coalition South LA! Over the course of the week, students will have the ability to receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced GDL alumni and board members. Throughout the event, participants will have the opportunity to further develop problem-solving, design thinking, and business presentation skills, essential to community development and social impact fields. Registration closes on October 9th at noon PST, register while space is still available!
Bonus: participants will receive priority application status when applying to join GDL’s year-long cohort!
