Soilsiú Films' Young Plato's impact keeps moving audiences and critics alike and the Irish Screen America presentation last Saturday at the Laemmle Monica Film Center Santa Monica (part of IrelandWeek 2022) did just that.

"What would we do without teachers? Following the headmaster of a Belfast inner-city school, this documentary directed by and Declan McGrath highlights the profound effect Kevin McArevey has on his students at Holy Cross. Considering the boys' daily struggles, from poverty and drugs to the lingering impact of sectarian violence, McArevey encourages conversation, respect, and critical thinking to help his students rise above the conditions and constraints of their community."
