The Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the USC Viterbi School of Engine We offer B.S. degrees in electrical engineering, M.S.
Our Department is one of the largest in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. degrees in both electrical engineering and computer engineering, and Ph.D. degrees in both electrical engineering and computer engineering. We also offer the B.S. degree in computer engineering and computer science jointly with the Computer Science Department.

USC researchers have taken a major step toward closing that gap in their study published in Nature Communications.
Led by Paul Bogdan, the team discovered that the electrical activity of just a single neuron contains hidden memory that can decode the structure and function of entire brain networks—opening new pathways for NeuroAI, energy-efficient intelligence, and brain-inspired computing.
