Believe it or not, many moons ago, I had the incredible opportunity to serve on bike patrol. This experience truly opened my eyes to the power of community engagement in the most organic and profound ways. I witnessed firsthand how a simple bike patrol can create meaningful connections with the community.

Fast forward to the present day, I am thrilled to announce that the Golden Valley PD, under the leadership of Chief Virgil Green and the dedicated officers of the department, has officially launched the GVPD Bike Patrol Unit this month! This initiative embodies our commitment to fostering stronger ties with the community through proactive and visible engagement.

The GVPD Bike Patrol Unit represents a new chapter in our community policing efforts. By patrolling on bicycles, our officers can interact more closely with residents, businesses, and visitors in Golden Valley. This approach allows us to be more accessible, approachable, and responsive to the needs of the community we serve.

Through the GVPD Bike Patrol Unit, we aim to enhance public safety, build trust, and promote positive interactions within our community. We believe that by being present, engaging in conversations, and actively listening to the concerns of our community members, we can work together to create a safer and more connected Golden Valley.

We are excited about the possibilities that the GVPD Bike Patrol Unit brings and look forward to further strengthening our partnership with the community through this innovative and community-centered approach to policing.
