We were so excited to share our friendship arbor at Night of the Arts last night thanks to and 💙 Families were encouraged to leave notes of kindness for each other and add them to the arbor as well as take home pins to wear and share. We’re grateful to be able to be part of a community that spreads love! 😺

🌟Staff Spotlight | Mrs. Villegas

Mrs. Villegas is one of our wonderful 2nd grade teachers and is in her first year at Woodlake, bringing eight years of experience in education with her. She earned her degree in Business Administration from CSUN before discovering her true passion for teaching.

After several fulfilling years in the classroom, Mrs. Villegas transitioned into the corporate world, working for an education curriculum company where she trained teams and combined both her business and education backgrounds. Although she enjoyed the experience, she missed working directly with students and ultimately found her way back to the classroom.

Outside of school, Mrs. Villegas loves spending time outdoors, whether that means swimming, hiking, or relaxing at the beach. She’s also a busy mom to two daughters, with one preparing for middle school and the other heading off to college this fall. At home, she has two lovable dogs, Charlie and Mabel, who keep life full of fluffy energy and fun.

With her warmth, experience, and passion for education, Mrs. Villegas is already making a wonderful impact at Woodlake.

*Please join us this Saturday, May 16th from 5:00-7:30pm for Night of the Arts!* All students will be performing two songs and one dance during the event. In order for the performances to run on time, please have your students gather at the PFA (near the fish building) at the times below:
5:25 PM - TK & Kindergarten
5:45 PM - 3rd & 4th Grade
6:10 PM - 5th Grade
6:30 PM - 1st Grade & 2nd Grade

*What to wear!*
This year’s theme is GROWTH! Please have your students wear colors and patterns to represent their favorite flowers. Floral headpieces, articles of clothing, accessories and embellishments, hair styles are encouraged - we can’t wait to see you bloom!

*What else do I need to know??*
* Food will be available for purchase at the event so come hungry! Alta California Restaurant, Angeleno’s Wood Fired Pizza and Handel’s Ice Cream will be there, and additional desserts and beverages will be available from our 5th Grade Team.
* You’ll want to stop by our Flower Shop and purchase our beautiful student-made bouquet sculptures! All proceeds will benefit our 2026-2027 arts programs.
* Visit our Silent Auction Tables! We have some incredible items this year: Got Game Summer Camp, the coveted Head Spa, Date Night at Prose Restaurant, Studio Classes from Viridian Art and MORE! Bidding will end at 6:55pm and winners will be announced at 7pm!
* Take a walk through our FishBowl Youth Marketplace and support your fellow student entrepreneurs! 
* Don’t forget to grab your Night of the Arts Scavenger Hunt card when you arrive, then turn in your completed card to the Flower Shop for a PRIZE!
