Title: Puerto Ricans in Los Angeles

Caption: A rare moment of solidarity between Los Angeles and Puerto Rico in 2018 highlighting the 1st anniversary of Hurricane Maria in 2017. The last Census showed that 23% of all Puerto Ricans in California, of approx. 300K, live in Los Angeles County.

ID: During the day, a group of 50+ people marches down the streets of Hollywood, California, carrying a banner that reads "SoCal Stands For Puerto Rico," flyers that read, "Cancel Puerto Rico's Debt & Pay Reparations," and several Puerto Rican flags. All around the group are businesses and pedestrians walking along the sidewalks. Leading the group are two women dressed in Native American regalia and playing a hand drum and maracas.
