There is nothing else in the world like the pressures of entrepreneurship. Whether you are a founder, coach, author, social justice warrior, activist, wellness professional, creative or small business owner… your work is never done, which can feel stressful and overwhelming. The non-stop hustle & grind of running a business makes it even harder to find the time to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Let me put it this way… between content marketing, revenue planning, product creation, seeing too many clients, and building sales funnels, entrepreneurship can take it’s toll on your body and mind.

Maybe you are not in full-blown burnout yet… But you’re feeling low energy most of the time, you’re having a hard time making decisions in a timely manner, up at night thinking about business stuff, when you’d rather be sleeping and you don’t know how to turn the entrepreneurial mind off.

You know what it's like to walk into a hair salon and instantly get a negative vibe. Or maybe you're shopping online and can't quite put your finger on why it feels like you've been surfing a site for five minutes, when in reality 45 minutes have flown by.

Now, these are examples of two extremes, but...

Business Is Energy (one of our guiding principles)

If you treat it as such, maybe there just might be a breakthrough ahead for you and your business..

ENERGY Definition: the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.

How will your business sustain itself for the next 5, 10, 15+ years?

In other words how will you keep the momentum in your business without tending to it's energy levels.

Sometimes your business energy is low and it needs a boost, some FIRE energy.

What could that look like?

Well...
In nature, fire is necessary for regeneration. Lightening strikes, it ignites a fire in the forest, once the fire is out that fertile ash facilitates the growth of the surrounding plants.

Only if you looked at your business this way.
Your business can be a better support system for you if you tend to its energy.

How do you do that?

You can tend to the energy of your business by first looking at the data.

For example, it's Back To School time. Is this a hectic time for your clients? Is it a relief for your clients when the kids are back in school? Look back two or three years at your data. What was your business energy like this time of year (in this case, let's look at client visits) slow, moderate, busy?

How can you adjust to support the energy you want to bring in? Maybe it's typically slow, you may need to run a Back To School promotion to boost energy.

Maybe you want it to be slow because it's a hectic time for your family too.

Maybe it's always super busy at this time of year and you need to call in help ahead of time to support you.

Congratulations, this is forecasting, energetically, of course, but practically also.

After analyzing your data, sit quietly, with a playful spirit and ask your business what it needs from you right now.

My point is try shifting your focus to the energy and see how things change for you in your business.

What does your business need energetically?

If you look back in time at who you were when you started your business.

And I mean really go deep and examine your feelings about entrepreneurship.

If you step into who that person was and who you are today.

How have you TRANSFORMED or become more your TRUE SELF?

What will it take for the next stage of TRANSFORMATION?

I ran across this step-by-step process to check and delete third-party apps from your fb account.

I couldn't believe i had 68 third-party apps in my account meaning they had access to my data along with all of my friends' data.

But, they have been deleted.

Whoop whoop!

It took me about 45 minutes total but, I think it was worth it. I don't want these companies all in my business.

Happy to share this resource considering all the Cambridge Analytica debacle.

Here's the link:

In light of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, it's a good idea to do an audit on your data.

Aww man! I just realized that "G" is chillin too far to the right.

But you still got the message right?

Early on in my massage career I massaged 5-6 people for 60-90 minutes each 5 or 6 days a week. Then the one day I should have spent restoring my juju, I worked on private clients or coming up with ways to market to them.

I did this for the first 3 years all in the name of "hustlin'"

That sh*t wore me out. Not to mention, I was missing out on living, which was the whole reason I left corporate in the first place. That "HUSTLE" energy leaves me feeling anxious & honestly less productive.

This "hustle" energy creeps back in like a sneaky little virus if you're not paying attention. It happened when I started teaching massage therapy in 2010, when I took on more classes than I should, again in the name of "hustlin", then with the two online coaching/training businesses I started since.

This time, I am more self-aware before that energy creeps in. Every day I check in with my BEING, how I'm FEELING, what I'm THINKING, then I start DOING.

I'm not the only one who has suffered from "HUSTLE-ITIS"

This insightful article offers an alternative...

If you think hustling all the time is required for success, you are mistaken.

I'm checking in to see how your marketing efforts are going.

Hopefully, you learned a NEW skill (visual content marketing) a few weeks back in my Market Your Essence workshop.

If so, I know it's helped you attract more of your desired clients.

The whole point of all visual marketing is that to relieve some of the pressure of marketing your business by sharing images of your existing processes, how you work differently than others in your local area and showcasing your expertise.

I hope the Marketing Plan Template is helping, be sure to post any questions you have in the FB Group - link in the comments ↓↓↓
