As part of Anderson’s Black History Month celebrations, we highlight SBA alum Matthew Boyd ‘15. Currently at Nielsen Sports, Matt is a Vice President in their Teams vertical overseeing business with professional team clients in the western United States across the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and MLS. In this role, Matt also leads Nielsen’s business with esports team clients across all of North America with clubs competing in the LCS, OWL and CDL.

At Anderson, Matt was a Consortium fellow and helped to build the pipeline to Anderson as an Admissions Ambassador and volunteering with the Riordan Fellows program. He also took on a leadership role with Challenge-4-Charity serving as the VP of Volunteering for Project ECHO helping to extend Anderson's impact to the broader LA community. Matt was also a dedicated member of the SBA and BBSA while in school. Before Anderson, Matt worked in consulting and other roles within the healthcare industry. He draws a direct line between his Anderson experience and pursuing an MBA in Los Angeles and finding his way to Nielsen Sports and his current role. As an alum, Matt continues to engage with the SBA and students interested in Nielsen Sports and the sports industry more broadly.
