🌕🍂 Happy Chuseok from Rise Kohyang Middle & Elementary School! 🇰🇷

Chuseok (추석), often called the Korean Harvest Festival, is one of Korea’s most important traditional holidays. Celebrated with family gatherings, special foods such as songpyeon (송편), and traditions honoring ancestors, Chuseok is a time to express gratitude, celebrate the harvest, and spend time with loved ones. 🌾🥮

For our Rise Kohyang community, Chuseok holds special meaning. Our schools are proudly rooted in Koreatown, a neighborhood shaped by generations of Korean families, businesses, organizations, and traditions. Celebrating Chuseok gives us an opportunity to recognize the Korean heritage that is an important part of our school’s history and the diverse community we call home.

To all of our students, families, staff, and neighbors celebrating, we wish you a joyful and meaningful Chuseok filled with good food, gratitude, and time with those you love.

행복한 추석 보내세요! 🌕
Wishing everyone a Happy Chuseok!

Today our 2nd grade students presented their animal and habitat research project 🐘 🐸 showcasing their research, writing, and creative work. Parents, teachers, staff members, and fellow students from the 8th grade went to visit to show support! We are so impressed with the work of our little investigators!

We love our community school managers and all of the work they do behind the scenes for our families.
