How do you talk to and treat your body?
•
Do you ignore its pleas or listen to what it needs and wants? Do you wish it were thinner or younger or prettier?
•
From the time my body started developing through puberty, I started treating it harshly.
•
The changes I was experiencing and the stories I was being fed about how bodies should look made me ashamed of it.
•
I was a real mean girl to it.
•
I often said (aloud and in my head) mean and hurtful things about it.
•
I certainly didn’t support it with good food, rest, or gratitude.
•
I told it that it was bad unless my numbers, like weight, matched my expectation.
•
I fully admit these things without judgment. I was doing the best I knew how to do then.
•
This was how my dance teachers and my mom told me to do. I didn’t know any other ways.
•
But then I learned better, so I decided to do better.
•
Opening up to the idea that my body and I needed to update our relationship did not happen overnight.
•
But little by little, I started realizing that my relationship status with my body needed to change if I wanted to truly say hurray inside, outside, and underneath.
•
Over time, I realized that my body had been providing small signs along the way of working with it, supporting it, and co-existing peacefully with it.
•
When I didn’t listen, those small signs and whispers became loud screams.
•
Things I thought my body rebelling against me were actually my body trying to get my attention so that we could heal, repair, and move forward in a loving manner.
•
The truth is that our body is our partner in this human lifetime.
•
So if we’re in this together, we should make the most of our relationship.
•
If you’re reading this and thinking, “omg I’ve been so mean to my body,” or “easy for you to say, your body is banging!” I want to ask you to drop the judgment.
•
And whatever you decide to do, please be gentle, compassionate, and open to the possibilities.
•
We are each on our own journey, and all it takes is one step after another to get started💗

Emotional wellness is a process. It’s about learning how to drive, not where you are going.
•
This is the metaphor I use every time I explain emotional wellness.
•
One of the misconceptions many people believe is that they don’t need to pay attention to their emotional wellness unless they are going through severe mental problems.
•
But the truth is….
•
Emotional wellness is learning the ability to handle life’s challenges to live your life well, not fixing problems.
•
So you probably won’t experience dramatic transformation even if you start taking care of your emotional well-being.
•
But what you notice is a subtle shift that happens gradually.
•
One day, you may find things that you used to find difficult easy or things that used to make you anxious no longer bother you, or you can do things without worrying about the outcomes.
•
Because you now know how to cope with challenges, keep problems in perspective, and bounce back from setbacks.
•
So emotional wellness is not a destination. It’s a process to help you eventually get where you want to be.

Women are meant to follow the natural rhythms of their cycles.
•
Like the seasons, there is a time to hibernate and go inwards, a time to grow and create, a time to blossom and flourish, and a time to complete and renew.
•
Cycle syncing is about working with your menstrual cycles instead of against them.
•
When we do the same thing day in and day out, don’t take breaks and don’t get enough rest and downtime, we aren’t respecting our natural body rhythms and are instead sabotaging our bodies, health and happiness.
•
👉SWIPE to learn how to find your monthly feminine flow💗
•
Adjusting your self-care, work and productivity, events, exercise, eating practices to meet your phase throughout the month can result in riding the ebbs and flow with ease, grace and a whole lot of sanity.
•
Planning your life around your own natural flow and using it as your super power will help you get the most out of your life without feeling “busy” or burning the candle at both ends.
•
Once you have tracked your menstrual cycle, you will be able to really map out a calendar of what is suited to you and your feminine energy.

Have you ever lied to yourself?
•
If you answered no, you are probably lying right now😜
•
But you are not alone.
•
We all do it from time to time as a coping mechanism.
•
The lies we tell ourselves make the world make sense when we seem to not fit into our environment.
•
But what we don’t know is…
•
Those subtle lies we tell ourselves have adverse effects in the long term.
•
They ingrain into our minds and become subconscious. And we eventually become those lies.
•
👉SWIPE to see 3 subtle lies we tell ourselves every day and the true meaning behind them!
•
I hope this post helps you become mindful of lies you tell yourself and acknowledge how they affect your behavior and decision-making on a daily basis.

20 Sings of repressed emotions that could cause problems.
•
Lots of time it is very easy for us to repress and hide how we feel because it's easier, but it's important to recognize the signs of repressed emotions and do something to learn how to express ourselves.
•
So what are repressed emotions?
•
Repressed emotions refer to emotions that you unconsciously avoid. These differ from suppressed emotions, which are feelings you purposely avoid because you don't know exactly how to deal with them.
•
Repressed emotions that are never processed can plague you in psychological disorders and symptoms. They usually stem from childhood trauma.
•
How a person handles emotions comes from how they observed their parents when they were children.
•
So, if their parents did not handle their emotions or face them head-on, then they are less likely to be able to handle their own feelings.
•
At some point in life, a person who has repressed feelings may have been told over and over again that they weren't allowed to have those types of emotions because they were considered bad feelings.
•
So, you stop expressing and having those feelings because it was reinforced that you should keep them to yourself.
•
And above all else, it is hard for people with repressed emotions to face them because they don't want to be judged.
•
Having some unresolved emotional issues can cause both mental and physical problems.
•
So it's important to know the warning signs that you are repressing your feelings so you can work to reverse your repression tendencies and live a happier and healthier life.
•

Is practicing gratitude really beneficial?
•
I have been told by more than one client that the word "gratitude" has become very cliche.
•
They are constantly being told to be grateful as if it is a fix-all• to their problems.
•
While it may not magically do away with our problems, gratitude has been shown to have a beneficial effect on anyone's life.
•
So what is gratitude, and is it really such a great thing to have?
•
One of the best definitions I have found is… "Gratitude is the quality of being thankful and a readiness to express appreciation for our lives, even in times of challenge and change."
•
As a society, we should resist living with a sense of entitlement and focus on being present and truly thankful for our lives.
•
In turn, this feeling of gratitude can then spill over into other parts of our lives and have a positive ripple effect on the lives of those around us.
•
Simply being grateful for being alive is a great way to motivate oneself to seize the day.
•
Research has shown that the following benefits are associated with feelings of gratitude.
•
1️⃣ Promotes better sleep.
2️⃣ Promotes an overall sense of well-being and optimism.
3️⃣ Strengthens interpersonal relationships.
•
So begin with your loved one. Take a moment to write down all of the things you are thankful for in your friends and family.
•
And once you get the hang of it, move on to yourself, your life, and things around you.
•
⬇️ Comment below and let me know your thoughts on gratitude🥰

3 Tips To Boost Your Self Image.
•
When you catch a glimpse of your reflection in a window or see yourself in a new picture that a friend posts on social media, what thoughts immediately come to mind?
•
Are they generally positive or more negative?
•
If they are positive, that's great! But if they're not, you're not alone.
•
Many of us struggle to feel happy with the way that we look, especially when it comes to our bodies.
•
Even if we try to love our bodies the way they are, we constantly see ads for a diet plant or an anti-aging cream that encourages us to look in a certain way which can easily make us think there is something wrong with how we look.
•
So making some tweaks to your thought patterns can help you get back on the road to a positive body image.
•
1️⃣ Focus on your self-talk
•
Rather than nitpicking over the appearance of your body, try recognizing and appreciating the amazing things that it does for you every day.
•
2️⃣ Write down what you love about yourself
•
Write down five things you love about your personality. You are a great listener or incredibly giving.
•
And then, list five things you love about your body. You appreciate that your arms carry your child or your hands prepared an amazing dinner.
•
3️⃣ Do things that make you feel good
•
Have you ever felt like canceling plans because you're feeling bad about how you look?
•
When it happens, focus on doing things that make you feel good.
•
Spending time with friends who aren’t body-focused may be an idea, but spending time alone may also help quiet your negative self-talk.
•
There is no right or wrong about it, so do whatever feels good to you to in the moment.
•
⬇️ Comment below and let me know which one you want to try🥰
•

I used to binge.
•
When I was a kid, I longed for loving and caring parents but my parents were far from that.
•
My parents were separated when I was young, but even before my dad moved out of the house and became non-existent, he would rarely play with me and my sisters and show any affection.
•
After my dad had moved out, my mom became all I had, so I did everything to please her.
•
But when I started struggling with self-identity issues, she not only dismissed and criticized my feelings, but she didn't do anything to help.
•
I was 18, and this was the very first time I'd ever asked her for help. I felt betrayed.
•
This was when I noticed my eating patterns started to change.
•
If I had a bucket of ice cream in front of me, no matter how strong my intention was not to eat, I always ended up having a spoon of it.
•
And once I had it, the rest was like a downward spiral. I kept eating and eating as I looked for an excuse to justify my action.
•
I suffered from binge eating for 5 long years before I finally told myself, "You can't live like this," and started to focus on healing my mind.
•
That was when I realized that my binge eating had a lot to do with my parents.
•
All I wanted was to feel loved and wanted by them, so I tried to fill up the emptiness in my heart with food because our relationships ended in heartbreak.
•
But no matter how much I ate, food never satisfied my craving for love.
•
I eventually came to terms with the fact that I have the power to break the cycle of the mindset that I'm not loved, and I'm the only person on this earth to give myself the love I crave.
•
This was more than 20 years ago and since then, I've overcome binge eating and attained self-love.
•
I no longer depend on food for my emotions. I enjoy food without anxiety.
•
If my story resonates with you, let me help you💗
Let me show you how to heal your mind so you can live your life to the fullest.
