Big news for California's education community! 📚🍎 The National Board in generous partnership with Ballmer Group are launching the California Black Educator Initiative (CBEI). This program will support 900 Black educators pursuing National Board certification.

The National Board is revising the foundational "What Book" to emphasize helping all students experience a sense of belonging. This pivotal document contains the Five Core Propositions and guides teaching standards across subjects and grade levels.

During a crucial feedback period, you can provide public comments on the proposed "What Book" 3rd edition now through July 14, 2024.

We encourage you to take the survey; you will get the chance to:

✅ Review draft language
✅ Submit your input
