When young musicians start lessons and are so excited to learn everything that comes at them, it can cause them to rush through their practice sessions!
To help make sure your musician is getting the most out of their lessons, help them understand that practicing slowly is the key to steady and sustained growth. Taking your time can mean a lot of different things. One general rule of thumb is to play something so slowly that one can't help but get it correct the first time. Working in small chunks also helps.

The Bodhran is an Irish frame drum, typically played with a stick called a "tipper." The drum itself is played by balancing on one leg, with a hand inside the back of the drum for support. The hand on the inside can be used for both muting and pitch bending. An ancient instrument from the Celts, the Bodhran was originally a simple tool used for, they think, dying wool or carrying grain. In time, it came to be used as a folk instrument. If you are interested in hearing this instrument live, find an Irish pub near you and ask if they ever have Irish "traditional" sessions.

Stone Casting is casting a new TV show that is currently a YouTube sensation and they are looking for talented kid singers ages 9-13.
They are holding in person auditions next Friday & Saturday, March 18-19th in Los Angeles!
Synopsis:
Music Club Kids is a scripted, live-action, musical comedy series created, written and executive produced by a Grammy-nominated, award-winning, Multi-Platinum veteran hit songwriter/producer (Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, 70+ million album sales). Fun adaptations of smash hit songs known in every corner of the world narrate each episode’s adventures in stories that inspire kids aged 4-12.
Project Rate:
This is a contract role for a current Web series and TV Pilot. All media now known or hereinafter invented including TV Broadcast Internet and electronic media (including social media, and/or any other delivery platforms whether now known or unknown, including podcasts, delivery to mobile phones, and other digital and Electronic Media/New Media); Print, all medias and PR.
3-year contract paid out as follows:
$65K recoupable retainer for year 1; $70K recoupable retainer for year 2; $75K recoupable retainer for year 3.
Talent will shoot each episode on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
Shoot Location:
Orlando, Florida*
*Should talent need to travel to shoot location production will cover travel, hotels, meals, transportation (air and ground).
