st. michael's girls high school was founded 1955. Conducted by the dominican sisters for 40 years. The high school closed june 1995.

September 1995 the high school merged with regina caeli girls high school in compton, california. The high school was temporarily named regina caeli/st. michael's girls high school until permanently named queen of angels academy. 2002 archdiocese of los angeles announced queen of angels academy would close spring 2002. September 2003 the school was converted into st. albert the great middle school.
