Alliance GEAR UP
A college degree has the power to transform the lives of not only first-generation college graduates, but of generations to follow.
Alliance GEAR UP is a 7-year United States Department of Education grant program awarded to Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in 2016 to increase college readiness and success of our first-generation, low-income students. Alliance GEAR UP supports a cohort of 1,000 middle school students and families to prepare them to succeed to - and through - college. We do this by providing academic and college and career prep services, and partnering with community organizations and universities

Students will learn about what they can be doing in their first year of college or as a working professional to create and maximize their retirement accounts and why it is important to plan for retirement now.
