Alliance GEAR UP

Alliance GEAR UP A college degree has the power to transform the lives of not only first-generation college graduates, but of generations to follow.

Alliance GEAR UP is a 7-year United States Department of Education grant program awarded to Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in 2016 to increase college readiness and success of our first-generation, low-income students. Alliance GEAR UP supports a cohort of 1,000 middle school students and families to prepare them to succeed to - and through - college. We do this by providing academic and college and career prep services, and partnering with community organizations and universities
