Center for Yoga offers an extensive Teacher Training experience and has developed a unique perspective on teacher training that stands on the shoulders of tradition.

Training is broken into 3 modules. First, deepen your practice. Then, refine your practice. Finally, work with a teacher to develop the skills to share your love of yoga with others. Each module builds upon the other. However, each module does not need to be taken in order! Complete all three courses and earn eligibility for registration through Yoga Alliance.

What to expect:
-Enhance your skills and deepen your understanding of the practice.
o Fun, challenging, insightful classes and learnings.
o Deep dive to raise the level of your physical practice.
o Fine tune your practice to effectively engage each part of your body, breath, and heart.

We hear instructions about how to improve the pose, but we are so busy either keeping up, chasing the stretch, or looking for variations that we rarely apply what the instructor is asking of us. Over these weekends the instructors will help you understand how to better access mobility in your hips, stability in your back and core, safe and effective movement in your shoulders and neck, and basically, how to deepen your practice.
Practice going beyond the familiar, invite meditation into your day and go deeper.

ANNOUNCEMENT. Alas a bittersweet one. (This affects ONLY my ONLINE classes). After 15 years of teaching for YogaWorks, my last day will be April 22. So if we work together ONLINE, I teach Tu/ Th 630p and Sat 10a pst for 2 more weeks. 6 more classes. I hope you can join.

I have nothing but gratitude for my experience with YW. Some of my 1st yoga classes were there in 2003. I took teacher training in 2007 and again in 2008. I never expected to teach. I just wanted to learn more about the practice. Yet here I am - 15 years of juggling a full time job while teaching 7-11 classes weekly. And loving every moment.
It has brought some of the richest, most uplifting experiences of my life and provided many indescribably beautiful interactions and resulting connections with incredible people. If we as teachers can center the student/ practitioner experience, wonderful things can happen. And we grow as teachers. I am so grateful for 15 amazing years at YogaWorks, my fellow teachers, practitioners, co-workers, and the priceless rich experiences and interactions that organization brought me.
