In September 1951, Our Lady of Talpa School opened its doors to educate children from the Boyle Heights community of Los Angeles for the very first time. It is with great pride and excitement that we invite you to celebrate our school’s 75th Anniversary!
We reflect in gratitude on the commitment and support of the many Daughters of Charity who have been instrumental in the founding and operations of our school since the very beginning. Without prayers, service, and the financial support of the Daughters of Charity Foundation, this milestone would not be possible.
Our students have been able to achieve remarkable academic growth, strengthen their faith lives, and develop the well-rounded foundation they need to thrive and take on the challenges of our ever-changing world. As we prepare to celebrate 75 years of Faith and Excellence, we honor the Daughters, along with the many friends, benefactors, alumni, families, and community partners, who have invested in the success of our Talpa children.
Please RSVP for Our Lady of Talpa School's 75th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 19, beginning with Mass at 11:00am, followed by a reception in the auditorium and school featuring live mariachi music, food, and fellowship for the whole family.
This is a free community event, and we invite everyone to join us as we celebrate the school’s 75th Anniversary. Please bring cash to participate in raffles and other opportunities to give back by sponsoring a student or supporting the continued mission of Our Lady of Talpa School.
