Teleflora Design Academy The 2017 schedule includes Dallas, Milwaukee, Washington DC, Charlotte and Los Angeles. Themes include sympathy, weddings, competition, parties and design IQ.

We believe the future lies in providing education at the local level, by bringing educators into communities with inspirational, cost effective, impactful and convenient programs. The Teleflora Scholarship Academy will be a resource for ALL Teleflora Florists including scholarship recipients.

• Local: Regional placement gives more opportunities for florists to participate. We will bring education directly to florists in their communities.

• Cost Effective: The regional placement allows for lower air & hotel costs making the Academy more affordable to shops of all shapes and sizes. The compact weekend schedule is less disruptive to businesses that only have a few employees.

• Convenient: 5 options in 5 cities increase accessibility and a schedule utilizing weekends creates opportunities for almost every business. There is, truly, no reason not to come.

• Impactful: Students will attend 4 unique sessions over 2 days and create 2 to 3 arrangements per session. In addition to design, practical business and marketing tips will be woven throughout the program.

• Inspirational: Three world class designers at each Academy will provide their own unique perspectives on design and tailor the content to the student’s level. Rich Salvaggio AIFD, PFCI and Tom Bowling AIFD, PFCI will both attend all 5 Academies. In addition to Rich and Tom we will have one additional Education Specialist at each Academy. Educational Specialists, Tom Simmons AIFD, CFD, CCF , Joyce Mason-Monheim AIFD, PFCI, AAF, CFD, AzMF, Kevin Ylvisaker AIFD, CFD, PFCI, CAFA, Tim Farrell AIFD, AAF, PFCI and John Hosek AIFD, PFCI, CAFA, CFD, CF have committed to 2017 and will each attend one Academy. There is something for everyone.

WOW! Day 1 of our Tropical Nouveau class with Hitomi Gilliam AIFD was incredible! So much inspiring advice of how to blend tropical and temperate flowers and foliage in your designs. The gorgeous product from Greenpoint Nurseries & Florabundance, Inc. and Holly Chapple eggs from Syndicate Sales, Inc. using the Amethyst art glass vase from MyTeleflora produced stunning work from all our students.

I'm feeling so inspired and ready to start Day 2 of class!

We had SO much fun in last week's virtual class. We can't be together in a classroom, but that doesn't mean we can't learn, network and have fun!

“I sold the terraced piece I did in the class yesterday! I was shocked! I came back from buying fruit for a gourmet and fruit basket to the girls boxing it up! Wow. Can't believe we're already halfway through self-improvement month! Since we can't get together to learn, we put together a couple of virtual design classes. Such a fun small class format with awesome instructors and lots of techniques, mechanics and inspiration.
