Salesian High Music Program

On behalf of the Salesian Music Program, we would like to recognize the outstanding achievements of our top guitar and keyboard instrumentalists from the Music 1 classes. These students have gone above and beyond expectations and continue to set a high standard for their peers. We also extend an Honorable Mention to Joaquin Montañez for taking on—and successfully embracing—the challenge of learning not one, but two instruments this semester.

Mariachi Signing Day! What better way to celebrate our Hispanic Heritage Month by inducting 24 members into our JV and Varsity Mariachi Program!

Drumline Signing Day! The Salesian Music Program inducted 13 Members into the JV and Varsity Drumline Program! We are looking forward to the continued development of these fine young musicians.

The Salesian Music program is very excited to announce our New Blog! The Mustang Music Report blog was created to document the journey of the music program, highlighting its mission to enrich, encourage, and empower students through the performing arts. It offers a chronological account of the program’s progress and achievements.

When band rehearsals began in February 2024, our Salesian Drumline members were excited, nervous, and scared, especially when thinking about the 5.5-mile parade route. The recommended practice and conditioning for all participating bands was 7 miles. On December 20, 2024, the following Salesian Drumline members—Julian, Jimmy, Angel, Xavier, Justin, Alejandro, Miguel, Luke, Gabriel, Adrian, and Marcos—achieved their 7-mile goal with the Salesians of Don Bosco Band....
