“In Today’s Gospel we hear of Mary’s Fiat—latin for “let it be done”. Though young and betrothed, Mary recognizes the importance of the choice before her and willingly accepts the conditions of an unknown future grounded in her faith for God. Today, we hear about the Transfiguration of Jesus: “His face shone like the sun and his robe became white as light.” But what are we to make of this? This Second Sunday of Lent, Sophomore Amir Lopez reflects on how there are moments and places in time that, like these unknowing disciples, are God’s way of fortifying us for the journey which we are on or that is to come.

This season of Lent, Campus Ministry would like to invite you to join us as we reflect on the meaning of Lent and what it means to us as a school community. Every Sunday, hear from some of our community members as they reflect on the Gospel passage leading up to Easter Sunday. Check your emails every Monday or look for our post on Sunday Mornings!

Live Jesus in Our Hearts.

Yesterday, Jesus was driven to the desert to be tempted by the devil. What were his temptations? What are our temptations? This first Sunday of Lent, Mr. Ryan reflects on whether earthly, material possessions are inherently bad or if we just need to reorient our values to reflect what truly matters: the Kingdom of God.

This season of Lent the Religion Department, with Campus Ministry, would like to invite you to join us as we reflect on the meaning of Lent and what it means to us. Every Sunday, hear from some of our community members as well as students as they reflect on the Gospel passage leading up to Easter Sunday. Check your emails every Monday or look for our post on Sunday Mornings!
