Time for another episode of… 🥁

✨ Keeping Up with Kirk ✨

As a teacher or staff member, we learn many new and interesting facts from our students. Some very beneficial and others that keep us hip and with the times! All jokes aside, these children teach us patience, adaptability, curiosity, resilience, creativity, and clearly some tech savviness!

We love what we do and always continue to learn and grow. 🌱 ❤️

Our Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing — and Otty is getting closer to reaching our fundraising goal! Every book you buy helps fuel our library, classrooms, and students’ love for reading. Let’s turn the page to success! 📚

We also want to give a shout out to an alumni parent who created this fantastic poster for us. Thank you, Grace!

At Kirk, we celebrate culture and diversity. Tonight is the first night of Rosh Hashanah—the Jewish New Year—a special holiday that celebrates new beginnings. Families come together to eat sweet foods like apples dipped in honey, hoping for a sweet year ahead.

Thank you to Mrs. Vanek and the Levin’s for sharing this special holiday with us! Here’s to a sweet new year! 🍎🍯 Shana Tova!

Many teachers have a way of getting their students attention in fun and engaging ways. This is called Call and Response.

Here are some of the ones we use. Enjoy and we’ll see you next time!
