🥃 TGIF! Remember when we could be indoors...around other humans...without masks? Yeah, me neither.

Little to a lovely NYC vacay with , who took me to this amazing little speakeasy.

Feeling lots of love for you all, wherever you are. Wear a mask and stay socially distanced so we can all travel again! 😷

🍺 Brunch game on point. Thankfully I have a girlfriend who won’t let me work *all* day *EVERY* day. 😉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Was the first time we’ve eaten *at* a restaurant since covid. Was nice to be out in the SoCal sun. Yay for outdoor dining and PPE. ☀️

Amidst all life’s craziness, what a treat it is to be alive.

😄 What brings you joy in this crazy and challenging time? For me it’s the simple moments of human connection and decency—the masks that get donated; the extra lengths people are going to ensuring someone feels loved on their birthday; the wedding ceremonies happening in the streets 6-feet away from all guests; the people who have reached out to just see how I’m doing.

I am practicing the dance between honoring the fear and stress that has been coming up, and maintaing perspective of just how truly fortunate I am to be healthy and working.

May we all remember that joy is always a choice away, and also that there is nothing wrong with pain or sadness.

Be gentle with yourselves out there 🤗

A little trip down memory lane to our vacation in New York last month. Ya know, back when we were allowed to go outside…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know a lot of you are facing significant health or financial challenges, and many of you have already lost a loved one. Know that you are in my heart and I’m sending love to each and every one of you.

In times like this I find it helpful to acknowledge the reality—the pain, suffering, and fear. While also practicing an atittude of gratitude. Every day.

If you’re reading this then that means you have a level of health, and enough resources to at least have a phone. So that’s two things we can start with gratitude for. 🤗
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What else are you grateful for?

P.S. Second pic is how I’m actually feeling right now…ready for a nap.

I miss being able to get haircuts...and to film stuff. 😭 That said, I am SO grateful right now to be healthy and safe.

I know many of you have lost your jobs, lost your livelihood, or even lost loved ones.

This is a serious time, and my wish for each of you is that you are finding peace in the midst of chaos, connection in a time of distance, and abundance in such a challenging time.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. And for God’s sake whatever you do, stay socially distanced!!!

Made it back from NYC last week amidst this craziness. How is everyone holding up?

I am heartened by the number of people taking this pandemic seriously, and the myriad acts of love and service to support the greater good.

It’s incumbendent especially on us millenials to take this *extremely* seriously, because there are so many people whose lives are truly in our hands.

I know it can be a massive inconvenience, and I have so many friends who have already lost their jobs, their businesses, or their livelihoods.

But let us keep in perspective that losing those things—while truly a monstrous challenge—is far better than losing our lives.

Wash your hands. Physically stay away from people. And remember that love and connection are always possible—it just might look a little different for now.

I love you. You’re not alone. We’re all in this together.

✅ Voted
✅ Taught social media class at the Emmys / Television Academy

As for voting, it honestly brings tears to my eyes every time. I’ve voted in every election since the week after my 18th birthday.

Seeing volunteers supporting our democracy; embracing the power of voting. This year I was the only white person in the room and it had me feel so overcome with joy at how far we’ve come as a country...and ever so aware of how much is yet to be done.

As for social media, it’s always a treat to teach (🙌 Ryan Walker my co-facilitator & partner in crime at TSMA Consulting). What a joy to share the power of building an authentic social media following with my fellow Emmy voters.

Have a great week, everyone!

Learning about the incredible ingenuity of the Incas was truly inspiring. I am so continually flabberghasted at just how capable and brilliant human beings are.

What a gift to be alive...
