CDU sincerely thanks Bloomberg Philanthropies for their $100 MILLION contribution to America's four historically Black medical schools, including CDU! With this generous investment, we will be able to provide nearly EVERY currently enrolled medical student receiving financial aid scholarships up to $100,000 for four years! This is an investment in our students’ careers, and the future of Black doctors:

Mighty Lion Spotlight: Adrienne Martinez,PhD, MSN, RN, PHN,CDU Postdoctoral Fellow, National Clinician Scholars Program, School of Nursing-Class of 2013, 2018-2020 Alumni Council Chair
Dr. Adrienne Martinez is a co-organizer of a citywide mural project supporting Black Lives Matter. began as a mission to paint one shop, within 24 hours, and became a movement for the city. Together we have created multiple murals across 8 sites on boards across Los Angeles. Our efforts have been concentrated in DTLA, the location of some of the greatest wealth disparity and highest rates of homelessness in the County. This project was an effort to beautify the city, while acknowledging the boarded-up windows can serve as more than an expression of fear that protests may damage property. They can be a venue of veneration, a medium of malcontents and the locus of a new vision for our city, our country and our world. Black Lives Matter!
Take a look at some of the murals Dr. Martinez has painted with her team!
