Our Mother of Good Counsel School OMGC alumni, parents, teachers, and friends are welcome to keep in touch!

Our Mother of Good Counsel School is a unique school that blends many cultures together in a harmonious unit. You are able to see this blend not only within the student body but also within the faculty. The school has been in the Los Feliz neighborhood for 80 years and has an outstanding reputation of providing an excellent education to its students. The majority of its students not only go on to highly academic high schools but also graduate from top universities and colleges throughout the United States. OMGC School has a highly involved student body and group of parents who help in the numerous activities which take place each month. The school ensures that a strong Catholic identity is maintained through the various religious activities which occur daily and monthly at the school. It helps students to develop a sense of belonging and a sense of Christian responsibility to the greater community. The faculty and administration feel it is important to build community among the school groups to develop camaraderie and a feeling of belonging. Many of the students inform their parents that they do not want to be absent from school because they don’t want to miss any exciting activities.

We’re keeping the sunshine of summer going with a special celebration! Whether you’ve been part of the OMGC family for years or are just joining us this fall, come kick back, relax, and help us give our newest families the warmest welcome.

It is with deep sadness that we mourn Tony's passing.
For many years, Tony and the family faithfully supported Our Mother of Good Counsel School and Parish through our Walkathon, restaurant nights, parish festival, and countless other events. His generosity and kindness touched generations of OMGC families and helped strengthen our community in ways too numerous to count.
Tony was a model of faith in action. His humility, generosity, and unwavering commitment to serving others reflected a life well lived, and his legacy will continue to inspire our school and parish community.
Please join us in praying for Tony, his family, and everyone at Palermo's during this difficult time.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Field Day 2026 was one for the books! From relay races and team challenges to laughter, teamwork, and school spirit, our Dolphins gave it their all and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Dolphins came together for a day filled with fun, teamwork, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From our youngest learners to our graduating 8th graders, every student helped make this a celebration of community and school spirit.
