Adventures Ahead After School Tutoring

Adventures Ahead is ready for the new school year! 🍎📓📚 We are providing ***FREE after school tutoring*** for LAUSD students living in the Adams-Normandie and Exposition Park neighborhoods of South LA. We'd love to have your students join us!

* Start Date: Tuesday, September 3
* Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
* Times: 2-6pm

🌞Adventures Ahead Summer Program Recap Continued🌞 On our last day, we had a party celebrating our graduating 5th grade class with water games, popsicles, nachos, and friendship photos🌊🎉🙌 We had such a fun time together, and wish all of our students a safe and fun rest of summer!

🌞Adventures Ahead Summer Program Recap Continued🌞 The following week, we had our very own 2024 Olympic Games 🏃🥏🏅 We started the day by fueling up on donuts🍩 before our field events -- the 40 yard dash, relay race, discus throw, darts, and archery! We're proud of all our young athletes!

🌞Adventures Ahead Summer Program Recap Continued🌞 Our students worked hard on reading, math, and art -- so of course we had to have lots of summer fun too! 😎 Our first event was a movie "night" 🎥 where we watched Inside Out with pizza 🍕 and popcorn 🍿 Students came dressed in their best pj's and brought blankets and pillows to make their own comfy theater!

A big thank you to our students, parents, and teachers who helped make Adventures Ahead's 2024 summer program a success! 🥳 We had lots of fun each week doing reading and math work📚, art projects🖍, group games🧩, and outside playtime☀️. Our students worked and played hard, and we look forward to seeing them again in the fall!

FREE Kids Summer Camp for LAUSD Students!

We're looking forward to our summer program, and have a couple remaining spots for any K-5 LAUSD students who live in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood and/or attend Vermont Ave Elementary, John Mack Elementary or Mid-City Elementary Schools. We'll have reading and math activities, lots of arts and crafts, outdoor play, weekly themed parties, and more!

Our 2023-2024 Adventures Ahead School Year has come to a close! 🎓🎉📚 We are so proud of each and every student who has worked so hard and accomplished so much this year. We're also grateful to our teachers who have made it such a successful space to learn and grow.🌱💡 We recently celebrated with our end of year party, and look forward to the summer season! 🥳🌞

Adventures Ahead After School Tutoring is returning this Tuesday, September 5! We're excited for this new school year, to see our students again, and for our new location and partnership with Los Angeles Christian School!🤩

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Adventures Ahead work day! We were able to clean and organize our new after-school learning space, and can't wait for the next school year!

Adventures Ahead After School Tutoring has moved locations! Last Saturday, friends and neighbors helped us bring our books, legos, crafts, and more to our new home at 1620 W 20th St -- we can't wait to share our new learning space with you!

The 2022-23 Adventures Ahead school year wrapped up last week! Our students continued to excel in their individual reading plans and homework, and grew so much in their fluency and literacy skills. We're so proud of them! And a big thank you to all of our teachers and volunteers who supported our students and their learning goals!
