So happy for our recent graduates of IMC!! It's an honor to walk so many people through the process of learning these skills. Not always, but occasionally I get to connect with students and build relationships and it means the world to me! Small moments are a big deal to me :)

I haven’t set up one of these in a LONG time 🙏 super excited to give a friend this special gift for her birthday yesterday - I hope I wasn’t too rusty 😂

The kids were ALL about it last night…it was Spa Night at the Starr House 😂😂

I’ve always believed the power of touch is profound for babies and adults, but it’s been since they were babies that I gave them a real massage. I’ve done Reiki on them and I’m pretty physical but this was different.

Zander said it was the most amazing experience he’s ever had in his whole life 😂

Athena loved it but was so excited she kept moving around and chatting away 🤣

They gave me and Matt massages too - or applied a lot of oil to our face and legs 😂

As a parent, appropriate loving touch is so important. Especially in this high-thought, high-energy world. Teaching them yoga stretches or hand-to-heart breathwork - all of this is crucial being in the world THEY live in.

I realized that last night, I was reminded of how important slowing down and connecting body and mind. I love that I have the expertise to share with them, but I think we can all integrate healing touch into our parenting.

We need a certain amount of acceptance when becoming parents, there's a Surrender to WHAT IS.

There are also OPTIONS if it's too hard. Sleep deprivation is one of the most common struggles and we know from experience that baby massage and bedtime routines make a big difference. They help baby's circadian rhythm get on track (their natural sleep cycle that works with daylight and nighttime).
