Giving back is truly the best way to be thankful this holiday season. When we open our doors on Monday, we will be accepting any unopened boxes of toys for children in need. If you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself this Christmas, this might be a good way of doing just that. The Modest Fly team will get together and personally wrap these presents and deliver them over to the Children’s Hospital and a couple of other foundations. We will be sharing our experience through video so please help us bring smiles to children’s faces and be a part of something bigger with us this year!

Witnessing the world at this moment is a bit overwhelming at times… we can all concentrate on the hate, anger, sorrow, and fight going on because it seems like it’s everywhere… Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Iran, in schools, on roads, and in houses, but let’s try to focus on the what good exists, because it does. In all this, there is love and if hate didn’t exist, we wouldn’t know love at all. Back in August, I met with a lost soldier’s family… Sevak Mnatsakanyan’s family. I looked into the eyes of his father, hugged his mother, and made conversation with his wife, while his 3 year old little girl played. It was a unique experience, a sad one… but happy to have met them. These wars and uproars leave our families in pain and anguish and to know that there will be more mothers with that look in their eyes pains me. My prayers go out to everyone waiting on a family member to come home and more prayers to the diligent men making big decisions based on these lives each and every day. May we all have love in our hearts to move forward and use love and kindness when making any kinds of decisions 🤍
