Great energy and excitement filled the Gindi Family Campus as both divisions of YULA High School came together to kick off the new school year! 💛🖤
Faculty Orientation began with a meaningful session led by Rabbi Sufrin, introducing our school theme and goals for the year ahead. We were then inspired by YULA parent and guest speaker, Arjang Zendehdel, who shared powerful insights on being “Joyous, Calm, and Strong Despite Life’s Fires.”
Throughout orientation, faculty departments came together to plan, collaborate, and prepare for an incredible year. We also welcomed Mrs. Debbie Fox, LCSW, who led an important conversation on creating safe spaces for our students.
And, of course, there was plenty of time for some fun team-building activities! 🎉
Our YULA faculty and staff are energized, inspired, and ready to welcome our students back. We can’t wait to see all that this year has in store!

Our first Summer Alumni Learning Series was such a special way to kick off the summer! ☀️📖💛
Hosted at the Margolies home, the evening featured a beautiful shiur from Mrs. Hershoff about the Three Weeks, reminding us that even in a time of mourning, we carry a deep hope and yearning for the rebuilding of the Third Beis HaMikdash, may it come speedily in our days. Mrs. Hershoff explained that the cries of a Jew are always cries of hope and not despair, and that the fast of Shiva Asar b’Tamuz is the beginning of the process of visceral mourning that rekindles our longing for the Beit Hamikdash, which will ultimately bring the geulah and the world to its state of completion. Thank you to all the teachers and alumni who came! It was so meaningful to see familiar faces, learn together, and spend time shmoozing and reconnecting with teachers and friends. We’re looking forward to a few more gatherings throughout the summer for alumni who are in town and want to stay connected, keep learning, and just be together.
Stay tuned for our next one in a couple of weeks. We can’t wait to see you! ✨
