We had a great time at Camp High Trails! We are on track to be back at school at 12:30 p.m. We will update with a more accurate ETA as we get closer.

We will be at school, Sunset Drive at around 2:30. See you soon!

We are beginning our return from Camp High Trails!
We will stop at Thurman Flats and eat lunch and then head straight home.
Our ETA is 2:15, but I will post an update when we are on the 10.
The kids were great, and we had a wonderful week at science camp.

Camp High Trails - Day 1

We’re heading to Camp High Trails for the first time since 2019!

As many of you know, the beginning of the school year will be online beginning Tuesday, August 18. Hopefully, the COVID tide will ebb soon, and we can go back to the classrooms in the near future, at least with a hybrid schedule. We teachers are planning, and working hard to develop a quality program to meet all students' needs. We are attending online trainings and collaborating with our teaching teams so that we can offer the best instruction and social/emotional support possible when we begin school. We look forward to meeting our new sixth graders, and hope that soon we will see old friends and colleagues on campus.
Also, the Grab and Go food program is available at King Middle School every weekday from 8 - 11 a.m. If you, or anyone you know, needs food, please visit the school during these hours.

Latest News / Resources for Families During School Closures Los Angeles Unified, in partnership with the Red Cross, will continue to provide nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools. Our Grab & Go Food Centers are staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each child can take home two nutritious meals.

This is our garden, and these are our kids! CELF is one of our partners and provided support while we developed lessons that helps students understand the interconnectedness of the environment, economy, and society.
