Ready-Set-Go Before School Program Ready-Set-Go! is LAUSD/Beyond the Bell's before school program operating at 130 school sites though out the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Our RSG students at Canoga Elementary have already had the chance to introduce themselves and get to know one another. Now, we’re starting Week 3 by taking those first connections and turning them into community! 💛

Students created their own name art, sharing their creativity while discovering common interests and things they have in common with their classmates. 🌈🖍️

These simple moments help our young leaders build friendships, feel a sense of belonging, and learn that community grows when we connect, share, and celebrate one another. 🤝🏽✨

We’re just getting started, and our students are already showing us that building community begins with connection! 🌱💛

After 7 amazing years with us, we’re celebrating an incredible employee, leader, and great friend as RSG North APS Angela begins her next chapter! 💙✨

From Program Supervisor to Traveling Program Supervisor to Area Program Supervisor, she has been such a talented, trusted, and valued member of our core team. Her leadership, dedication, and heart have made such a lasting impact on our team, our community, and Beyond the Bell.

These first few days have been all about getting to know one another, building friendships, and creating a strong sense of community. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning, growing, and making memories together! 🌟

Yesterday, we had our final summer visit from Officer Gomez with the CHP. He shared valuable lessons on pedestrian, bike, and scooter safety, talked about his role as a CHP officer, and gave our students an exciting tour of his patrol car. 🚲🛴🚓

Thank you, Officer Gomez, for spending your summer with our RSG students and for helping them learn important safety skills while building positive connections with law enforcement. We appreciate all of your visits and the impact you’ve made on our program. Wishing you a safe and successful school year ahead!

Our sunflower journey at Friends of Micheltorena began at the beginning of our summer program with tiny seeds and big curiosity. Throughout the summer, students learned how to care for their plants by watering them every day and observing the changes. They watched as roots and leaves emerged, discovering firsthand how flowers grow. This project helped students build responsibility, patience, and an appreciation for nature. We are proud of how much our sunflowers—and our young gardeners—have grown during our summer program! 🌻💛 Los Angeles Unified Beyond The Bell Los Angeled Unified-Division of Instruction
