Lead teacher position is an hourly part time position reporting to the director.

Main responsibilities and duties include guiding and assisting kids on reading recipes and preparing various dishes. The job requires the employee to stand during most of the day, moving back and forth between the chef station and stove, requiring quickness.
We are looking for:
Someone who can maintain a high level of professionalism and great attitude at all times. We are very customer focused and are seeking someone who is solution oriented and quick on their toes. You must enjoy working with all types of kids. Job duties are listed below.
Job Duties:
Drive truck to and from events.- no special license needed its just like driving a Uhaul
Load and unload class equipment
Check students in, have parent complete consent form if necessary and collect payment.
Coordinate with teacher’s assistant to determine daily tasks and lessons
Lead cooking activities designed to foster students cooking skills
Supervise students in various settings including walking them to the restroom.
Enforce class rules and policies such as kitchen cleanliness and safety.
Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions
Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Prepare materials for cooking lessons making sure that all students have ingredients and materials for their cooking activities in each station.
Operate kitchen equipment including stove, oven, sink, kitchen knives, etc.
Washing, peeling, chopping, and assisting students with kitchen techniques.
Ensure that students have all materials necessary for cooking activities in each station.
Work with students individually or in small groups to teach them various knife skills, reading recipes, etc.
Provide extra help as needed to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations
Disposing of trash and cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
All other tasks assigned by teacher or owner.

Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Can- do positive attitude
At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration skills; able to work well with a team
Effective multitasker;
Must be willing to get livescan certified- We will pay for it.

Hello October!!! One of my favorite things to do in October is to teach our kids how to make pies! I love watching kids learn how to make pie dough. You can see the kids concentration and hard work pay off when their little pies come out the oven. It’s one of the best feelings in the world! Note to self; take more pics of the kids creations at the end even when you’re running out of time 😂
