Last Tuesday, we had our annual Mock Interview Night. Thanks to the 7 alumni that participated either in person or remotely! Our students got some valuable feedback on their resume and interviews.

We've had a strong start to Winter Quarter with multiple infosessions! It was great to see some alumni including Christina Baker from PPG, Vanessa Czarnecki from FM Global, and Doug Walters from LA Sanitation.

Last Friday, we had Engineering with Girl Scouts to show some ChemE principles to the troop at the UCLA Lab School. Our members had a great time working with the girls ages 5-10 to build and test a water filter!

Our 15th Annual AIChE Career Fair was a big success! It was great to see some alumni back on campus representing their companies.

Earlier this month, some of our members toured the nearby Marathon Petroleum refinery thanks to alumni Nick Seifert and Luke Chiang!

In preparation for our annual Career Fair, some alumni came to help students prepare their resumes and elevator pitches at our Career Fair Workshop. Big thanks to Luke Chiang, David Chung, Chris Mazmanian, Nick Seifert, Yue Du, and Jennifer Joseph!

We are proud to introduce our brand-new Alumni Mentorship Program!

This program will pair alumni mentors with undergraduate mentees in a year-long mentorship. One mentor will be paired with one to three mentees based on the post-graduation interests of the mentee and their preference of a mentor. Mentors are expected to contact mentees once a month through email, phone, Skype, etc. This will be a professional partnership but we hope that it will turn into a connection that lasts beyond this program.

Thanks to our alumnus Yue Du for showing some of our members around the Takeda plant in Glendale last week! They had a great time touring the fractionation and purification facilities along with some of the labs.
